From disaster response teams to first responders and even retail pop-up shops, there’s often a myriad of technology that powers businesses behind the scenes. But what happens when you’re in a location with poor cellular coverage or no internet access at all? That’s where the Pop-Up Network Kit (PNK) can help. The PNK is your ultimate Wi-Fi network in a box, allowing you to quickly set up a reliable 5G and LTE internet access point.

In this blog, we’ll show you how easy it is to deploy a mobile Wi-Fi network using the PNK in less than five minutes!

What Is the Pop-Up Network Kit?

The PNK offers a fully functional Wi-Fi network that can be deployed in any environment – completely protected by a ruggedized, water resistant carrying case. Our Standard PNK weighs less than 14 pounds, can support up to 100 connected devices, and can last more than 10 hours without being plugged in.

Step-by-Step Guide to Deploying Your Mobile Wi-Fi Network

1. Grab Your Kit

The PNK’s compact and lightweight design makes it easy to carry by hand, stow in your vehicle, or even take it as carry-on luggage (yes, we’ve done it!). Whether you’re headed to a downtown construction site or a remote cell tower for maintenance, you won’t have any problems bringing the Pop-Up Network Kit with you.

2. Set It Up – Anywhere!

We use the term “set up” loosely here, as the only real setup required is bring the Kit with you. You can use the kit with its lid open or closed, but it’s important to note you’re more likely to get a stronger signal with the lid open.

3. Power It On

Deploying the PNK is simple! All you have to do is press the power button on the side of the Kit. The internal wiring takes care of powering the antenna and router simultaneously. Give the router a few seconds to boot up, and you’re ready to go!

4. Connect Your Device to the PNK

Once the internal router has powered up and connected to the nearest cell tower, it’s time to connect your device. Open the Wi-Fi settings on your smartphone, laptop, tablet, or other IoT device and select the Pop-Up Network from the list of available networks. If you’re working in a more demanding environment or need a more stable connection, you can also connect via ethernet.

5. Enjoy A Fast & Secure 5G Signal

In less than 5 minutes, you’ve now deployed your PNK and successfully connected your devices. Whether you just need to send emails or are connecting drones for disaster response scenarios, you now have reliable access to a secure and powerful network.

Conclusion

Setting up a mobile Wi-Fi network doesn’t have to be difficult. With the Pop-Up Network Kit, you can deploy a network on a remote path, around your vehicle, at a construction site, or anywhere else your business takes you.
